The Blogging Manifesto (cue trumpets)

You know what? I can't wax philosophic on my inspirations more than about once every six months, much as I admire those who can. I can't be a whimsical, perky blogger, and I can't be a snarky blogger with a punchy headlinhe. I think admitting these things probably means my blog will never be a must-read for people.

See, I've been reading a lot of marketing blogs this last week (why? Eh...I don't know, but they're very interesting sometimes, in a psychological way) and there is so much advice about how to write a good blog for your small business, but the problem is, their advice is not *me*.

I don't know about you, but I'd feel like a fraud doing some of their suggestions. I can't create a brand that makes a big, showy deal about my work; what I'd love is if people just saw my beads and bought them because they thought, 'Hey, pretty beads.'
Hopefully, some pretty beads.

So I'm going to stop thinking about how to make this a power blog, and keep on posting cool stuff from Etsy and jewellery shops, raves about vegan chocolate, and how fun it is to squish polymer clay in your hands, as well as the occasional post about my beads. If it gets read, awesome. If not...well I'm still going to talk about how vegan Mars bars make you feel all warm and giggly inside :D

After that little cathartic moment, I feel liberated, so I've decided I'm going to do a giveaway for some beads this week. Details in the next blog post I write.

(Ah, irony that I'm doing a giveaway - one of the top attention grabbers for blogs *G*)
